Job Purpose: To lead and deliver best-in-class Partner Workforce Management for Vodafone Idea’s pan-India frontline operations. The role is accountable for building a stable, compliant, capable and digitally enabled associate and ViMSL workforce across geographic circles — encompassing manpower fulfilment, attrition management, statutory compliance, capability development, and HR digitization. The incumbent manages a subsidiary company & a panel of third-party workforce and partners with business and function leaders to ensure consistent, high-quality workforce outcomes across Vi’s area of operations.

 

Key Result Areas and Accountabilities:

1.  Building an Efficient & Compliant Organization

  • Maintain ViMSL and Non-FTE headcount within approved budgets, with manpower fulfilment sustained at required levels at all times across circles.
  • Ensure zero statutory non-compliance incidents; conduct structured compliance audits across the year.
  • Drive implementation of the evolving Labour compliance norms (eg New Labor Code) including payroll restructuring, compliances as per the new definitions, ESIC/other components recalibration, and multi-scenario cost impact assessments.
  • Govern all statutory registrations, licenses, and third-party contractual compliance for Vi circles.
  • Govern vendor agencies on cost adherence, contractual obligations, and service delivery standards.

 

2.  Talent Retention – Frontline Attrition Management

  • Drive measurable reduction in overall and early-tenure attrition for Postpaid associates and ViMSL employees.
  • Implement circle-wise attrition diagnostics and intervention frameworks — including exit analysis, stay interview and early attrition risk-flagging.
  • Improve gender diversity within the frontline workforce.
  • Partner with business and circle leads to address compensation, onboarding experience, managerial impact and other reasons which are acting as root causes of churn.

 

3.  PWM 2.0 – Strengthening ViMSL & NFTE Operations

  • Execute the PWM 2.0 roadmap spanning manpower fulfilment, talent management, skilling, retention, compliance, engagement and analytics.
  • Drive rigor on Brilliant Basics indices so as to drive excellence in experience across lifecycle processes that must be common minimum and consistent across geographies.
  • Constantly work towards automation and digitization opportunities to drive efficiencies in ways of working, reporting and governance.
  • Ensure manpower agency governance through regular connects and reviews to check implementation of policies, guidelines and processes.

4.  Talent Capability – Learning & Development

  • Deliver structured capability program for Senior CREs and ViMSL/NFTE associates with defined learning hour targets per role.
  • Facilitate capability-building interventions for PWM leads covering business acumen, self-branding, business partnering, and influencing skills.

 

5.  AI, Digitization & HR Process Automation

  • Scale AI chatbot adoption significantly to generate meaningful mood-score analytics and real-time associate sentiment data.
  • Diversify sourcing channels: shift mix from referral-dominated to a balanced referral and digital-sourcing model.
  • Establish academic institution tie-ups for a trained manpower pipeline.
