Job Purpose
|
SNOC is centralized technology operation centre responsible for FCAPS (Fault, Change, Accounting, Performance & Security) to serve Pan India mobility and enterprise customers across all technologies and domains through start of art tools, digital initiatives, well stitched processes and skilled people.
- Responsible for SNOC Security operations strategy, structure,
processes and operations.
- Manages critical platforms used for regulatory compliance related to licensing - Privileged User Access management platform & URL Filtering operations for Pan India.
- Timely management of problems and incidents which impact user
access and blocking of restricted URL’s.
- Security compliance of all network elements as per security policy.
Ensure Legal & regulatory compliance and enhance security posture under applicable Telecom legal & regulation for the network elements of the network.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
|
- Privileged user management (PUM) system operations – Define and implement Security Operations strategy, structure, and processes for SNOC. Responsible for FCAPS of VIL Privileged user management (PUM) system (ViPAM). Drive right processes and operation practices for proactive and reactive operations. Ensure integration of secured privilege technologies with complete ecosystems including devices from new project. Recruit right skills. Be proactive to identify the security risks associated and implement timely migration plan. Sanitization of node before commercial GO Live. Support Vendors and partners as well to design right solution for integration and access. Act as NOC security SPOC with CTSO and nodal agencies.
- National user access management – Responsible for secure User access Management for all India VIL users and partners to all the network devices. Ensure right processes exist to assign right privileges to right people only after consent from right approvers. Able to provide the required logs for forensic analysis after approval from designated authorities.
- URL filtering and firewall operations – Responsible for operations of Pan India Firewall and URL filtering platform. Also manage the blocking and unblocking of URLs & IPs to meet the regulatory requirements related to security. Hence manage the MS partners to provide services as per agreed SLAs.
- Regulatory compliance – Quarterly assessment of the user ID to ensure compliance thru RAPID. Validate the log availability as 99.99% and ensure to take backup of user activity logs maintain 3 Years to comply DOT requirement under UL clause 39.9. Support all circles for meeting various type of regulatory compliances through artifacts. Participate in different central DoT audits.
- Compliance – Accountable to adhere Change processes under ITIL framework to ensure predictable outcome of the highest quality every single time, hence keep the SNOC operation organization complied with ISO 20K (Service Management System), ISO 27K (Information Security Management Standards),TL 9K and other compliances like SOX, TRAI/DOT, PIM etc. Bring in Service excellence through continual service improvement & ensure network reliability by process optimization and simplification.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
|
- Overall 15-20 years of experience in managing telecom networks and minimum 5 years of Proven track record of managing centralised telecom Security.
- In-depth understanding of Networking Protocols and Architectures, Wired/Wireless telecommunications and networking protocols and architectures, Internet protocols, Encryption techniques, algorithms and approaches, Enterprise architecture (e.g. Active Directory, etc.), Virtualization technology and architectures, Cloud technology, approaches and architectures, Mass storage technologies (e.g. SAN, NAS, etc.), Experience at-least two of these technologies Windows Server, Sun Solaris, Firewall security, TCP/IP Network, Oracle DB.

- Expertise in the field of Information Security Audits & Assessments

Strong understanding of Indian Cyber Law, DOT MRSP security requirements and content filtering requirements.
