Job Purpose
|
Seeking a visionary and technical leader for the role of General Manager (GM) – Infrastructure Operations. This internal leadership position oversees our end-to-end data center operations, hybrid cloud architecture, and open-source data platforms.
You will bridge strategic engineering with 24/7 operational excellence to scale enterprise infrastructure across different SNOC Applications while ensuring strict adherence to global compliance, data privacy, and telecom quality standards.

Areas/Accountabilities
|
- Infrastructure & Domain Leadership: Direct enterprise data center operations across network, compute, and multi-tier storage architectures servicing business-critical application domains.
- Enterprise Service Solution & Operations: Manage the physical infrastructure and platform layers backing Order Service Management (OSM) and platforms.
- Network Integration (Ni7): Govern infrastructure support for highly integrated Network Integrator (Ni7) architectures, focusing on complex connectivity, routing, and automated network mapping.
- Platform handling: Oversee containerized environments utilizing Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP) and Container Storage Interfaces (CSI).
- Multi-Cluster Management: Govern multi-cluster deployments, application lifecycles, and seamless workload migrations across environments.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC): Lead infrastructure compliance audits and maintain certifications for ISO/IEC 20000 (IT Service Management), ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security), and TL 9000 (Telecom Quality Management Systems).
- Enforce robust network access controls, identity management, and automated zero-trust security policies. Safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) across all storage, compute, and cloud layers.
- Database & Backup Governance: Ensure high availability, replication, and robust recovery frameworks for enterprise relational databases and object storage.
- Observability: Architect end-to-end monitoring, proactive alerting, and rapid incident response systems to prevent infrastructure degradation and isolate network faults.

- Enterprise Domains: Oracle OSM, and Network Integrator (Ni7) environments.
- Containerisation & Management: Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP), Advanced Cluster Management (ACM), Kubernetes, and CSI frameworks.
- Migration Tools: Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV) by Red Hat.
- Storage Systems: OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) using K8s, Block storage, NFS, Cloudian S3, and Ceph.
- Networking & Security: Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cloud Native Core (CNE) technologies, and Ni7 architectures.
- Frameworks & Audits: Deep operational knowledge of ISO 20K, ISO 27K, and TL9K frameworks. Proven expertise in implementing data protection controls for PII and SPI.
- Monitoring & Observability: Automated monitoring and alerting platforms for real-time performance degradation tracking and network fault isolation.
- Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle 19c.
- Open-Source Stack: Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, Apache Druid, Apache Superset, and Cloudera.
- Data Protection: Enterprise-grade backup tools and disaster recovery frameworks.
- Certifications (Required / Preferred)
- Cloud & Containers: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Enterprise Linux & Hybrid Cloud: Red Hat Specialist in OpenShift Administration / Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA).
- Project & IT Management: PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL v4, or equivalent agile/project management certification.
- Security & Audit (Preferred): CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or Lead Auditor certifications in ISO 27001 / ISO 20000.

Education
- Degree: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience
- Overall Experience: Minimum 12 to 15 years of progressive, post-qualification experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in a senior operational or engineering leadership role managing large enterprise environments and leading regulatory/compliance audits.
