Job Purpose

To efficiently manage, maintain, and continuously optimize/enhance PAN India network KPIs and services for IMS/VoLTE Core nodes within the defined thresholds, improvement of customer experience, automate voice testing by tool so as to ensure a highly resilient, fault-tolerant network and deliver operational excellence by ensuring best class network quality for VIL customers through deployment of best operational practices and guidelines. Automation to ease/fasten processes with minimal or no manual intervention.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage & optimize IMS & VoLTE KPI performance by monitoring KPI metrics at both circle and node level, while continuously auditing and revising threshold limits to more stringent levels for enhancing performance and customer experience, drive corrective action on threshold breaches with PCAP analysis. Proactive monitoring of PAN India VoLTE leakage & corrective action for restoration
  • Enabling Performance reports & real time alerts of PAN India Core domains KPI’s to proactively monitor the Performance KPIs.New NE types/features KPI monitoring Enablement- Counter integration, KPI creation & validation with NPM, Mycom & SevOne for PAN India network nodes
  • Improvement in customer experience by Real time monitoring – Anritsu & GRE for NAT & INT roaming traffic (Outbound/Inbound)
  • Handle real time customer complaints reported & analyse for resolution with Cross functional interaction to get the complaint resolved in time to enhance customer experience
  • To enhance network performance by Sharing & Implementation of Best Practices / Leanings / Golden parameters/ outcome identified during customer complaints across PAN India & Maintaining/Setting up way forwards for repeated issues/cases by coordinating with multiple stakeholders like Operations, SNOC, Planning, CHM, OEM. Periodic audit & correction of Golden parameter for VoLTE nodes
  • Automate E2E service assurance platforms using AI/ML to transition from reactive to predictive monitoring-
  • Automation in network testing enhancement via tools like VI serv Tool to minimize manual intervention, improve testing accuracy & N/W performance
  • Automation wrt Creating portals/database for past learnings with advanced/quick search options
  • Automating Real time VoLTE KPI monitoring enablement from SQM portal
  • Analyze business requirement for new project rollout and support migrations and capacity additions in live network as per timelines.
  • Monitor and maintain PAN India Core Node Utilization below threshold to negate service impact, proactive triggering to Planning/Project team to mitigate high utilization.
  • Provide technical guidance, issue resolution, and rigorous impact analysis for network changes to ensure seamless node integration and prevent service disruptions.
  • Central Governance:  Engage with circles & SNOC to drive rapid resolution of issues & escalations
  • Lead, develop, & manage direct reports, driving bottom-performer improvement plans and deliver structured OJT sessions twice per quarter. Also ensure team HSW compliance.

Technical/ Functional Competencies
  • Expertise in 4G IMS Core, CS Core in one or more OEM’s - Nokia, Ericsson, Mavenir, Huawei, ZTE along with profound understanding of IMS/EPC/CS call flows
  • Good Knowledge of Subscriber Data managements nodes – HSS/HLR/NDS  & STP/DRA signalling call flows in 2G/4G/VoLTE domains
  • Excellent communication & inter-personal skills. Strong customer focus & seamless approach. Data driven & timely decision making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and ownership of actions. Ability to manage medium size teams.

Behavioural & Leadership Competencies
  • Analytical Thinking — interprets VoLTE trends to identify systemic performance issues
  • Data-Driven Decision Making — uses Anritsu and OSS data to prioritise performance actions across circles
  • Accountability and Ownership — personally drives traffic share, KPI threshold compliance, and customer complaint resolution
  • Stakeholder Management — Coordinates with SNOC, OEMs, Operations, and circle teams for joint performance delivery

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Education Qualification :

B.E./B.Tech — Electronics / Telecommunications / Computer Science.

 

Years of working experience :

Minimum 10+ years of experience and at least 4 years in IMS/VoLTE & CS Core Performance/Operations related activities
