Job Purpose

The role is primarily responsible for capacity planning & avoid abrupt changes in response time with what if analysis of business requirements. Ensure thresholds are intact for agreed TPS & infra utilization.

Maintain & implement ID access management tools & associated integrations.

Using automations tools & RPA tools and the capability to identify & implement automations across the VIL along with maintenance of the existing tools is one of the key deliverables.

Explore & implement automation across the VIL IT operations landscape to facilitate smooth, faster & cost effective operations.

Event management configuration & management of alerts and resolve the alerts before it results in a business outage, Upkeep of Monitoring tools and agents to ensure legitimate alerts are generated and alerts to CI ratio is maintained

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

1. Capacity Planning & forecasting: ensure effective forecasting, optimization & augmentation considering business forecast and current utilization using tools for capturing data & analysis across infrastructure, applications & service levels.
2. ID access management ensuring compliance to all systems, successful functioning of integrations & Security policy.
3. Extensively participate in IT transformation projects for future ready platforms and provide inputs.
4. Manage APM related changes on account of Technology initiatives like DC migration, Cloud migration, application re-platforming. Handle around 30000+  alerts per month
5. Review of applications along with SME to find opportunities in alerts and configurations and feasibility of new alerts.
6. Maintenance of tools & configurations of alerts & escalation automations.
7. Review automation levels & implement RPA wherever applicable & viable.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

1. Strong knowledge of IT capacity planning & forecasting& related tools & techniques
2. Strong knowledge of IT services availability management
3. Experience with IT automation tools & transformation projects.
4. Good Knowledge of Server, cluster & Storage administration knowledge in physical, virtualized, private or public cloud environment, IT infrastructure,  Datacenter Infrastructure & associated software.
5. Experience with implementation & operation of monitoring tools & alert management of applications, services & infrastructure spanning across large scale data centers.
6. Good understanding of ID access management tools & integrations

Must have technical / professional qualifications

1. Graduate/Post Graduate in Computer Engineering/Application from renowned University
2. Preferably certified in one or more automation technologies like Ansible/blue Prism.
3. Preferably some infra certification in storage/OS/Cloud
