Job Purpose

Responsible to provide operational Support, maintenance, ensure availability of the Systems and Business KPIs, along-with ensuring development of the relevant metrics & measures to enable continuous improvement of designated Business applications in the BI & Analytics portfolio. Manage incidents, problem tickets, releases, upgrade activities, and ensure seamless Build to Operate transitions.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
  1. Responsible for end-to-end management & on going-holistic health for a portfolio of BI applications & related technology areas involving multiple partners such as IBM, TCS & wide number of PAN India Business Users across multiple functions.
  2. Governance of Vendor partners to ensure compliance to Service Level Agreements, Change & Release management, deployment cycles & data delivery processes. Accountable to manage stability of a multi-vendor Reporting & Analytics Application Landscape & ensure cohesion across multiple vendors through effective Governance.
  3. Work closely with Applications Development Team & regularly review the Solution Designs to close loop Operational level challenges & ensure seamless B2O with minimum Application downtime, thus minimizing failed changes & roll-back scenarios.
  4. Accountable for resolution of incidents within TAT & ensure resolution time is within agreed threshold defined for the severity of the incident. Ensure timely Root Cause Analysis for all Sev-1 & Sev-2 severities so as to prevent any recurrence, along-with prompt & timely communication to all stakeholders.
  5. Act as a focal point for business users to communicate application related updates or issues across multiple functions & collaborating with other teams and partners on changes, fixes & upgrades.
  6. Work with Partners & Business to drive initiatives to institutionalize Operational Excellence through kaizens, Green/Yellow/Black belt projects & process optimizations to reduce Opex costs. Identify optimization initiatives to automate repetitive manual tasks by bringing in efficiency using technologies such as Robotic Process Automations, Ansible or other ML/AI technologies.
  7. Work with internal & external audit Partner teams such as IBM, Kyndryl on security audits to assess & ensure applications compliance with Vodafone Idea Ltd security policies

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
  1. Experience in managing people & technologies in various levels of IT delivery with a graduation in Engineering or equivalent and Post-graduation with MBA.
  2. Ability to think analytically and independently with a strong technological background, drive initiatives independently for incident management and reduction, process optimization, application environment stability, high availability, capacity planning and licensing.
  3. Ability to think critically in order to bring efficiency within the operational systems and processes by remove redundancies or through automation using new technologies.  
  4. Must have a knowledge of DevOps and / or experience in both Development and operations. Also should have a working knowledge of Cloudera Data Platform.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

B.E/BTech or equivalent and Post-graduation with MBA
