  1. Job Purpose

 

  • Subject matter Expert of the Ministry
  • Responsible to create compelling proposition to tap huge Digital India opportunity in Central and State Governments ministry mapping  
  • Strategic support to handle high volume, national deals and facilitate Circle sales teams with Central
  • Actively engage with Marketing/ NPD & Technology  Teams to address the market needs
  • To accelerate the growth of Mobility Voice & Data and other product potential in the Government domain, across all circles

 

 

  1. Key Accountabilities / Key Result Areas (Max 5)

Strategic

  • Create Thought leadership in the assigned Ministry to drive Digital India initiative thereby seeding concepts & creating the need with our Propositions.
  • Create strong relationships with Senior Government Decision making machinery with product and propositions, and establish Vodafone Idea in this domain.
  • Strategically align and Work Closely with Knowledge partners and System integrators and help government departments with concept seeding and to prepare Detailed Project Report, Tender Creation and Participation.

 

Operational

  • Create the strategy and Drive Business development activities along with Cluster Account teams & Segment Sales Head, to create robust funnel/pipeline &  take a lead position to tap the potential
  • Develop, plan & execute a Focus Ministry strategy to grow revenues, improve coverage, penetration and enhance competitive position in the assigned Ministry
  • Drive and Own Top high value, Potential projects/opportunities across Circles, provide central ministry & key decision maker mapping support.
  • Engage closely with the Technology & Marketing to develop customised and specific products to meet customer requirements.

 

  • Develop relationship with Senior Stake holders in Ministries / Department by making Capability presentations / discussions / negotiations at a later stage of a sales cycle as the case gets matured.
  • Drive Segment initiatives through various programs in the Circle.

 

Developmental

  • Develop team through continuous training on ministry specific programs, organisation, key projects under digital India initiative building capabilities.

 

 

 

  1. Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience, Technical / Professional Qualifications (Max 5)
  • Industry & Products Knowledge critical
  • Strong understanding of specifically Mobility & non-Mobility market
  • Large Account  Business Development and ability to map & manage relationship at Senior Levels  essential
  • Strategic & People management capabilities – ability to manage large, multiskilled  teams
  • 14 to15 Years of B2B experience of  which atleast 5 years+ as a Sales/ Business Dev Manager
  • Market Knowledge of Competition: Telecom Service Providers / System Integrators. Develop relationship with System Integrators and Knowledge partners.

 

Technical / professional qualifications:

 

Desired Competencies/ Skills

  • Industry knowledge and skill to navigate bureaucracy 
  • Powerful influencing/ negotiation skills, effective relationship management skills and proven ability to function within a matrix organization
  • Experience in handling enterprise sales in government accounts
  • Technical qualification: In depth knowledge of telecom Enterprise Products

 

Educational Qualifications

  • University Degree in Business/ MBA along with technical qualifications, or equivalent qualification

  • Achieve budgeted revenue & Order Booking as per DB
  • Create Tenders and Spec them to VIBS advantage for focus ministries.
  • Facilitate Lead generations by seeding concepts in E& M-governance space.
  • Establish Vodafone Idea in Focus Ministries  by way of mapping Decision Making Bureaucrats
