Job Purpose
|
|
The role and function of Transport Performance has cluster/regional level influence and repercussions on achievement of Vodafone Idea India’s mission in terms of customer experience, customer retention, huge impact on cost efficiency and competitiveness.
Responsible and single point of contact for all the transport performance for circle transport network spreading across technology domains like IP/MPLS Network, Microwave backhaul (IP, Legacy), Access Optical (Packet, OTN), National Core Optical (DWDM/OTN), & Synch network with industry best performance benchmark.

- Responsible for the transport network performance KPI’s which covers length and breadth of circle.
- Service Performance optimization – Proactive improvements activities which is based on the trend and forecast of network and service performance. (OOKLA Leadership, Accedian, TNL Traffic Engineering, QOS Optimization in the network, network utilization)
- Network Performance optimization – Reduction in CRC/FCS Errors, field issues rectification, Vendor coordination, fault reduction plan, and Uplift the Volte performance.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

|
PLANNING, ORGANIZING, IMPLEMENTATION, MONITORING AND CONTROLLING:
Accountable for Circle/Cluster Transport Performance, IP/MPLS and Transmission network and ensures the targeted KPIs & SLAs for mobility & enterprises are met by developing various programs proactively viz -performance management, problem management, process standardization, process automation etc.
- Best in class Mobility Voice, Data and Enterprise service experience
- Capable of understanding all the Telecom NW user and signalling interface and reading and taking various Wireshark traces and handling the tools.
- Meet NPS/TNPS/DCR for respective circles / clusters in transport domain
- Usage of tools to deliver value to our mobility and enterprise customers (SevOne, Mycom, Acadian & UIM)
- Ensure that the customer & service complaints (2G/4G) are as per target value.
- Drive quality & standardization programs to ensure SLA and health of the services by effectively manage OEM vendors and circle operations.
- Develop and deliver service satisfaction Index for transport network and services.
- Bring innovation into the operating methods in terms of design accuracy, resource selection, and process automation
- Drive digitization for entire Transport Network Performance based on the customer experience.
- Periodic network parameter audit and actions: Drive circle ops team to deliver transport service KPI for mobility and enterprise services. Close coordination with Transport Operations, CODE and COG team on improving network performance KPIs

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
|
- 10 - 12 Years of Experience in Domain (Telecom/IT/OEM ) with 5-7 experience in handling Large Scale Telecom Network Domain
- Experience in implementation, operations & management of data networks and services in large service provider environment.
- Knowledge of service performance KPIs/SLA benchmarking and strategies for continual performance improvement.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in large scale and complex IPMPLS backbone and backhaul network to carry mobility and fixed line services
- Ability to drive operational excellence through standardization and innovation in processes/systems/tools.
- Experience in managing multi service & multivendor (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei etc.) data network.
- Good interaction experience with other service providers/partners, industry technical experts/forums and standards bodies

- BE in Electronics & Telecommunication/IT.
- Must have CCNP or equivalent certification
