Job Purpose |
To lead regulatory coordination and compliance for telecom-related matters by engaging effectively with DoT, CGCA, CCA, WPC and other regulatory authorities. The role is responsible for strengthening regulatory relationships, managing policy and compliance matters, supporting AGR, License Fee, Spectrum Usage Charges and Bank Guarantee-related requirements, and ensuring timely regulatory reporting, intelligence and business support. |

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities |
Regulatory Liaison & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong working relationships with DoT and other regulatory authorities to proactively mitigate business risks. Act as a key interface for regulatory matters and ensure timely coordination with government stakeholders. Support the business during critical regulatory situations by identifying practical solutions and escalation paths. Policy Monitoring & Regulatory Advisory Track policy changes, regulatory developments and government communications relevant to the telecom business. Provide timely regulatory intelligence, insights and updates to senior stakeholders and business teams. Support policy formulation on AGR, subscriber verification and other regulatory matters in the interest of the organization. Financial Regulatory Compliance & Coordination Coordinate with Corporate Finance, DoT HQ and CGCA on AGR, License Fee, Spectrum Usage Charges, microwave charges, Bank Guarantees and related regulatory matters. Support DoT audits, observations, DVR-related matters and responses to queries raised by DoT / CGCA offices. Coordinate the submission and release of Bank Guarantees with DoT-HQ / CGCA office. Serve as the first point of contact for finance-related regulatory queries and data requirements from DoT. Regulatory Reporting, MIS & Data Support Ensure timely and accurate filing of regulatory reports, statutory submissions and regulatory MIS. Prepare and analyse financial reports, MIS and regulatory data for internal and external requirements. Provide research-based inputs using publicly available information and reports. Support internal finance and business teams with accurate regulatory data and documentation. Government Queries, Business Support & Disaster Management Respond to DoT queries, specific data requests, and Parliament Questions within defined timelines. Provide need-based support to Corporate and Circle teams on CCA office-related matters. Coordinate with LSA teams during disaster situations and ensure timely submission of disaster-related MIS to DoT. Provide timely guidance on CAF audit, WPC / WPF matters, and national regulatory compliance requirements. |

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience |
15+ years of experience managing DoT, CCA, CGCA and WPC matters in a large organization, preferably in telecom or a regulated sector. Strong government liaison, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills. Sound understanding of telecom regulatory compliance, statutory submissions, audits and policy matters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to manage regulatory risk effectively. |

Must have technical / professional qualifications |
Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline. Relevant experience in telecom regulatory affairs, government liaison, or statutory compliance will be preferred. |
