Job Purpose

The Head of Customer Projects and Onboarding is responsible for leading and managing the entire IOT onboarding process across all the Products and Services. This role requires a strategic and operational focus, with a strong emphasis on creating a positive and engaging onboarding experience for all new products and change in product delivery. This role will also oversee all aspects of program delivery, ensuring successful execution of large customer projects, key strategic Product initiatives and achieving key business objectives.

 

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding and program management strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Establish clear objectives, scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for onboarding programs.
  • Continuously enhance onboarding and program strategies using employee feedback, data insights, and industry best practices.

Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee end-to-end program execution, from initiation and planning to implementation and closure.
  • Monitor progress, address roadblocks, and manage dependencies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Drive continuous process improvement in onboarding methodologies, leveraging technology and tools for efficiency (e.g., DKYC, EKYC).

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

  • 10-15 years of experience in managing large Project and Program management
  • Technical Understanding of IoT products & solution in Automotive, AMI, POS etc.
  • Understanding of various types of Application integrations, network connectivity, Network Protocols, MPLS link delivery, etc.
  • Must have a good understanding of various Telecommunication technologies and Standards (4G, 5G, MPLS, 3GPP etc).
  • Leading both internal and customer leadership meetings, preparation of relevant documentation and stakeholder management

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • Graduation: B.E/B.Tech - ECE/EEE/CSE or relevant work experience
  • Knowledge across various domains in IoT space including ESIM, VTS, Fleet Management, IIOT etc.
  • Deep practical knowledge of project management frameworks (Agile/Scrum and PMP or Prince2). Certified Scrum Master and PMP desired
  • Prior experience in B2B or Telecom B2B & Ability to deliver in a dynamic, high- growth, high-uncertainty environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Years of Experience

  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience of leading large projects as part System Integration business/Project Management/IT Solution Delivery/OEM ecosystems or Equivalent
  • Previous experience in leading complex projects related to Telecom, Smart Cities, AMI (Smart meters, HES, MDMS), City Surveillance, IOT or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of various IOT solution architectures and customer use cases
  • Experience in various data centre technologies like compute/storage/Networking technologies, DC/DR failover mechanism - On-prem and Cloud
