- Increase fiber penetration for mobility and enterprise services by cost effective and efficient planning & budgeting.
- Responsible for annual Capex & Opex forecast and control.
- Optimal utilization of Fiber Capex to deliver best in class and scalable fiber infrastructure with resiliencies to ensure high standard network uptime.
- Developing, onboarding and Operationalization of IRU partners to deliver additional fiber requirements of VIL.
- Rollout of OWN & IRU fiber as per AOP target. Enable new POP and NW rollout by providing new fiber pairs as per requirement.
- Develop and Operationalization of regional operating model to meet organization requirement.
- Deliver planning, Project & Operational KPIs and SLAs by working closely with circle teams & MS partners.
- Work closely with circle teams, cluster CTO for developing innovative & cost effective Fiber infrastructure solutions for varied customers like TSP, OTT, smart city & govt. projects etc.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience, Technical / Professional Qualifications (Max 5)
|
- 15 years of Telecom experience in fiber Planning/Project/Operations. Ability to manage in dynamic, highly challenging environments.
- In-depth knowledge, experience and sound understanding of transport operations model, technologies such as DWDM , SDH, EoSDH,IP/MPLS, TE, QoS.
- Commercial and legal understanding for closure of contract and agreements with vendors to get better KPIs and cost factor advantage and also Govt. policies related to ROW.
- Strong Stakeholder management, Negotiation skills and Strategic mind set to make win-win alliance with TSP partners and IRU partners.
- Opex cost reduction by network optimization, AMC managements, operational deployment and other means.

Risks, Challenges, Job Context (Short Description)

- Change in regulatory environment: as the work involves lot of Govt policies, which is a major factor in deciding the rollout cost, any change in polices leads to huge change in OFC rollout cost. Also new policies which requires change in laying practices like own restoration, may lead to change in Vendors for OFC, as expertise required to reinstate is not available with all OFC vendors partners.
- Rapid development of civil Infrastructure like Highway expansion, Freight corridor damaging Fiber Infrastructure thus leading to the need of frequent re-lay cost.
- Change in Rollout plan or agreement terms with IRU partners : we are hugely depend on rollout plan of IRU partners like Airtel, JIO, and IP-1 partners , if the rollout plan or geographies of interest changes, then possibility of sharing reduces, which can inflate the cost of our rollout plan.

Completion of Optical Fiber rollout as per business needs between locations including New Intercity / Intracity routes, last mile connectivity by regular interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders.
