Job Purpose

To efficiently manage and maintain operations for Voice CS Core, IMS VoLTE and Signaling, so as to uphold a quake free network, and deliver operational excellence and quality customer experience through deployment of operational practices and guidelines.  

To Collaborate with SNOC, MS-Partners, OEM’s, Circle & various inter-functional teams, with the objective to ensure timely & systematic execution of tasks & resolution of escalated issues.

 Ensure 100% regulatory compliance to TERM and DOT requirements.

MSC/GMSC, MSS/GCS, BC, MGW/GMGW, STP/SPS/DSR, DRA, MNP DB, HLR, HSS, NDS, CDS, EIR/AUC, IMS VOLTE, TAS, SBC, EMS, PMS tool, Voice LI.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

1. Central Operations Management

• Governance of various CS Core, IMS VoLTE and Signaling NE’s for Pan India VIL network by actively managing technical activities in forefront such as SW upgrades, Technical audits, Network resilience and supervising configuration changes in the network to uphold service availability at 99%.
• Maintain and Improve KPI thresholds w.r.t Key indicators, specified per NE.
• Monitor & initiate actions to keep bandwidth Utilization under threshold.
• Formulation of RA/UAT test cases w.r.t operation testing in sync with circles and RA.
• RCA Analysis & rectification of failure and emergency issues reported
• Sharing & Implementation of Best Practices across Circles & provide deployment guidelines for new Implementations.
• Fulfil various SOX/Security Requests. Ensure RAD compliance.

2. Capacity Utilization Management

• Monitor of HW/SW utilization & licenses for NE’s & optimize same in sync with planning/CODE.
• Proactive triggering to Project & Planning team to cater the increasing traffic in core Nodes based on utilization.
• Maintain congestion free network by regular tracking & initiating required actions to ensure capacity utilization within threshold.
• Governing Spare Management that ensure availability of spare hardware at each site location
• Prepare guidelines related to traffic migration, new feature implementation, upgrades, roll-out Migrations and maintain the Architectural framework.

3. Regulatory Compliance

• Deliver Data requirements of TRAI & DoT timely via regulatory.
• Supporting Circle Team for Security Audits and TERM DOT queries.
• Manage the central IMEI TAC Code whitelisting process and central Code opening process as per timelines.
• Ensure time bound code opening across VIL.

4.  OEM/Cross-Functional Co-ordination

• Co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders for new rollout & transformation projects in network on live nodes.
• Co-ordinate, sync and provide technical guidance for issue resolution to SNOC & circle teams. Co-ordinate with IT for central IT related issues.
• Co-ordinate for best practice and implementations across all circles. Regular follow-ups and trackers to be maintained.
• Validation of Impact analysis of any new SW or change in CS, VoLTE, Signalling domain. Co-ordinate with IT, Planning, Project teams, Mediation, RA, PMS to ensure smooth cutovers in sync with circle and SNOC.
• Analyse business requirement for new project rollout and support migrations and capacity additions in live network as per timelines.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

1. Expertise in Voice CS Core in one or more OEM’s – Ericsson, Huawei, ZTE, Nokia.
2. Expertise in IMS VoLTE domain with profound understanding of IMS flows- With experience in IMS Nokia/Huawei/Mavenir setups (one or more)
3. Good understanding of HLR/NDS is required.
4. Experience in IP platforms viz. CISCO/Juniper/ Huawei/Ericsson Routers & Switches management, would be a plus.
5. Knowledge of STP/DRA signalling call flows in 2G/3G/4G/VoLTE domains.
6. Excellent communication & inter-personal skills, strong customer focus & seamless approach. Timely decision making and risk assessment skills.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

BE/B.Tech (E&C). Cloud Certification (will be a plus), more 15 years of experience and at least 5 years’ experience in VoLTE & CS Core operation / related activities.
