To accelerate this transformation, we are prioritizing the development of new business verticals with our long-term growth objectives. This includes exploring and if deemed fit venturing into high-potential domains Given the importance of this agenda, the new role has been envisioned to evaluate, build, and scale new businesses & expand digital adoption. This role is critical for steering innovative business models, ensuring robust feasibility analysis, and leading Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies for emerging ventures.

Proposal |
We propose the creation of an Assistant General Manager – New Business Development role to support Vi’s strategic agenda by expanding its digital footprint through innovative business models and partnerships. The manager will work closely will the Vertical Lead to support strategy development, and ensure smooth execution of digital ventures

Explore, Evaluate, Set-up & drive new lines of business for VIL as per the digital roadmap and deliver incremental revenue for the organization as per the business plan.

Key Result Areas / Accountabilities |
New Business Evaluation and Feasibility Analysis Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and consumer studies to identify potential business opportunities. Evaluate emerging technologies, business models, and market trends to assess feasibility and alignment with company goals. Develop detailed business cases, including financial modeling, ROI assessments, and risk analysis to support decision-making. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and next steps. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure that evaluations align with strategic business objectives.
Operations and Analytics Oversee operational execution of new business initiatives and partnerships. Implement and track key performance metrics to assess the success and growth potential of business ventures. Use data and analytics to evaluate performance, identify improvement areas, and optimize processes. Provide actionable insights to internal teams for continuous improvement and business scaling. Go-to-Market (GTM) Execution Support the development and implementation of GTM strategies for newly approved business initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the consumer journey, product positioning, marketing strategies, and operational rollout. Monitor and report on GTM performance, providing actionable recommendations for optimization.
