Category Manager – Digital Acquisitions, Traffic & Capabilities

Context for the role

One of the key strategic focus for VIL is to grow the contribution of Vi digital assets to the overall business.

This role within the App Growth team, includes:

  1. Driving new customer acquisitions through own digital assets
  2. Grow the adoption for Vi app among Vi users
  3. Build new capabilities for the Vi app to enhance customer experience & business outcomes

Job purpose

This individual will play a pivotal role in growing new acquisitions through digital assets, grow MAUs and enable new capabilities on the Vi app.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

 

Drive new customer acquisitions through digital channels

  • Optimisation of all stages of funnel/ journey on the digital assets, including landing pages, conversions etc.
  • Campaigns and promotions to drive top of the funnel, lead conversions, creatives and copies
  • Coordinate with diverse stake holders – Design, Web/ tech, Product (CVM, Prepaid), Digital Media, Sales and external partners to drive continuous improvements

 

Grow app adoption/ MAUs

  • Define Marketing strategy to scale the digital funnel (including MAUs/ DAUs and acquisitions) and increase outreach through multiple channels
  • Identify new channels for app installs, performance marketing and digital marketing
  • Optimizing copy and landing pages for search engine optimization
  • Researching and implementing content recommendations for organic SEO success on the PWA and desktop site
  • Track, report, and analyze PWA/website analytics along with SEO performance
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code

 

New capabilities

  • Develop new capabilities on the Vi app & web with an objective to enhance customer experience & business outcomes
  • Liaise with various stakeholders – tech delivery, dev ops, design to drive app enhancements from planning, briefing to launch
  • Regularly meet consumers to understand pain points on the app/ web thus leading to new insights and enhancements

Key Performance Indicators

  • Growth in digital acquisitions
  • Key conversion metrics like visits to leads, leads to orders, orders to activations
  • Growth in app MAUs
  • Execution of new capabilities on app/ web

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

  • Dynamic professionals with extensive understanding of digital eco system. A candidate who has hands on experience in “Digital First “launches will be preferred
  • Strong networking skills, Self-starter attitude and aggressive outlook towards chasing targets

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • MBA
