AGM- Systems Engg (L2 level)

Job Purpose

Data Core network service planning, configuration scripts and method of procedure (MOP) for testing and integration of new services/features, change requests. Analysis and resolution of P1 Data services incidents related to Product, Solution & Design.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Creation and validation of MOPs for new services, features and change requests in the existing functionalities and support during the implementation for all new changes.
• Plan and deployment of Data core applications new software releases
• Develop and implement of high level and low-level designs and network design blueprint
• Design new Data core Gateway locations by traffic engineering and identification of traffic hotspot hubs
• Assess and modernize the end of life/end of support network applications and nodes
• Traffic Migration Planning for change in architecture or for effective use of resources.
• Planning capacity in alignment with trend analysis, forecasts of future traffic growth and existing expansion plans
• Roaming and ICR related designs and configuration scripts and MOPs
• Collaboration with key stake holders and enable incremental capacity on network
• KPI Monitoring and Network optimization in order to support design criteria for Data Core network
• Periodic application performance audit and measure performance and tune the parameters to support dimensioned capacity
• Design and deployment of Partner caching (Google, Facebook etc.)
• Development and Management of guidelines (planning & standardization)
• Making network arrangements/ changes for special events, festivals & load sensitive events and natural disasters
• Support for fulfilment of Regulatory Requirements

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• Experience in Planning, Designing and implementation of new services and features in Packet core network.
• Experience in MOP creation and validation for any partner SPGW, SGSN-MME, PCRF and IP ecosystem (routers etc.).
• Involvement in Circle and SNOC change management processes.
• Stakeholder-management skills to interface with circles, operations and vendors on design and deliver business needs
• Analytical skills to understand business requirements and translate them to network requirements
• In depth knowledge on Data core network interfaces and protocols
• In depth knowledge on routing and switching
• Knowledge on Cloud, Cloud networking and DC fabric
• Knowledge on Virtual LAN, Virtual routing and forwarding, Virtual private network concepts 
• Knowledge on multiple vendor applications and their architectures
• Strong capability and very good cross functional co-ordination
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
