Job Purpose

SNOC is centralized technology operation centre responsible for FCAPS (Fault, Change, Accounting, Performance & Security) to serve Pan India mobility and enterprise customers across all technologies and domains through state of art tools, digital initiatives, well stitched processes and skilled people.

 

  1. Responsible to perform Change management activities for PAN India IP networks (i.e. CORE, CEN, IPRAN, IPCPE, CWW (MSP), STP, CS Core, R4 networks). Within agreed SLA and FTR (Success rate).

 

  1. Responsible to support with co-ordinate stakeholder, organization and execute all AOP rollout across technology (2G/3G/4G/5G sites) as per agreed rollout targets. Responsible to escalate critical technical issues pertaining with Network devices to vendor and follow up for resolution, Support Vendors, Project and planning teams for improving the day to day operations leading to better network and services to customer

 

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
  1. Responsible for Rollout Change Management: Responsible for roll-out of all Change Management activities for India  IP networks under ITIL framework with 100% compliance of ISO20k/27k standards to support rollout and optimization as part of Business strategy.

 

  1. Maintain/Improve FTR and SLA – Responsible to drive and maintain/improve the committed FTR (First Time Right) and SLA (Service Level agreement) for all activities executed in IP networks.

 

  1. On board new technologies and Transformation – Responsible to drive the IP Change Management function as per the agreed RASCI matrix among CODE, Project, COG, OEM and SNOC for successful service delivery of IP MPLS technology. Participate and front end all critical activities from SNOC for any new platform transformations as part of Long-Term Technology road map to align with Business Strategy.

 

  1. People connect and Compliance – Enhance engagement within cross domain team and stake holder (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) in structured manner. Interchange regular feedback on the basis of day 2-day operation to align and empower stakeholder for smooth and seamless operations. Drive culture with pears to adherence to company policies and Processes (COC, ISO, Security, etc) to create and maintain safe, stable and secured work environment. Walk the talk for HSW controls as the most important value of the organization.
  2. P & L consciousness – Must have a digital mindset which will help to develop required automation DNA to be future ready. Responsible to develop automation of configuration and change management process with Tools. Building eco-system in SNOC IP configuration domain to support IP based data service growth ambitions of VIL.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
  • Should have overall 2 to 6 years of experience in managing telecom IP MPLS networks with minimum 2 years of managing centralized NOC Operations in mentioned domains.
  • Hands on Experience on IP MPLS network having 3+ years of total experience. Must have skills in network architecture, protocol understanding & have strong competence level and hands-on experience of IP MPLS technology. Basic functionality of networking equipment like Routers, Switches including functionality of interconnecting with other network elements.
  • Technical expertise in the IPMPLS network with deep understanding of all protocols and its function (MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VRRP, VPN, STP, SR, SDN/NFV, VLAN, QOS, Wireshark, Packet tracing)
  • Strong Understanding & knowledge of configuration management, change management and integration processes in managing NOC operations.  Must have good hands on HPSM & understand rest SNOC tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of IP MPLS network, configuration parameters and their interpretation and use. Sound knowledge of Automation for IP/MPLS based mobility services over transport network
  • Should be comfortable with network complexity. Should have experience of managing Multi-Vendor, Multi-technology, Multi-layer complex network.
  • Must have understanding on Change Management, to carry out and deliver every Network & services as per the agreed SLA and KPI.

 

  • Problem Solving: Capability to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions under pressure.
  • Quality Assurance: Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring that all activities execution as per standard SOP and MOP.

Basic level of programming skills in Python, Unix, Linux, shell scripts, Java, etc.
  • Should understand industry standard process and framework of ITIL & ISO.
  • Should be able to improve and implement the processes as per ITIL and ISO standard.
  • Familiar with ISO 27001 & the process of ISO 20000 audit and compliance

Must have technical / professional qualifications
  • Masters/Bachelors in Engg (E&TC Preferred)
  • IP-MPLS, SDN and NFV, IP protocol (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS), Quality of services, 2G/3G/4G/5G technology, Transmission. Basic Cloud.
  • Certified – CCNA, CCNP
  • Good to have Certified ITIL-V3
