Job Purpose : Responsible for operations and maintenance of the PS Core elements deployed in the circle such as SGSN/MME, GGSN/PGW, PCRF, Gi/Gn DNS, Cache servers etc. KPI based Analysis, managing system uptime, perform regular O&M activities, Coordination with different functions and supporting Business deliverables will be the key focus points.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Ensure System Uptime and Regular Backups
• Traffic migration and optimisation based on report analysis
• Responsible for alarm clearance in the PACO nodes in coordination with respective functions
• Ensure timely system upgrades of packet core nodes and support capacity expansion
• Execute periodic preventive maintenance activities.
• Traffic report analysis and initiative to improve KPIs
• Hardware support for PS –Core nodes.
• Active participation in each of fault and outage condition, value addition for faster resolution of the fault and minimize the impact
• Coordination with Vendors/PMS/COG/other functions for KPI restoration/analysis and new node implementations.
• Resolve all data related complaints with in TAT including NR / IR DATA roaming complain
• Necessary CR raising, understand purpose of CR raised by CODE, detailed pre / post testing wrt changes performed
• Ensure necessary configuration as per the requirement and unwanted configuration deletion through CODE and SNOC
• RS&R, Spare Management and maintenance of related database.
• Support for new integration and capacity expansions. Application redundancy to be verified during Node HoTo.
• Trace analysis.
• Coordination with other operators for emergency ICR as per TRAI guidelines. Periodic testing of ICR.
• Periodic Data Barring with eKYC/DKYC Testing.
• Caching traffic trend monitoring, raise to SNOC and caching partner for any deviation.
• Field support for attending all caching related HW faults, replacement
• Periodic check, maintain and improve physical hygiene of all PACO nodes and related cabling

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• In depth knowledge on 2G/3G/4G/LTE network. Good understanding of 5G NSA and SA architecture
• In-depth understanding and hands on working experience on various core nodes like SGSN/MME, GGSN/PGW, PCRF, DNS etc
• Command level knowledge for Trouble shooting PS core issues and capturing different traces/logs.
• Clear understanding of all types of call flows related to PS Core and basic understanding for VOLTE.
• Knowledge in traffic monitoring tools, wire shark tool.
• Basic understanding of Cloud and IP infra.
• Trace analysis and troubleshooting skills including knowledge of various protocols like GTP, Diameter, MAP, FTP, SSH, Diameter etc.
• Knowledge in cloud architecture will be an added advantage
• Should be Good team player and should have good communication skills.
• Analytical, Reasoning and logical thinking skills
• Positive Attitude towards problem solving
