Job Purpose

  • Budget for new business demands/programs in Customer Service–Prepaid, Postpaid , Quality , Training and Call Centre functions
  • Effective management of IT budget - Governance on budget management and spends for large projects of Customer Service  area – Prepaid, Postpaid , Quality , Training and Call Centre functions
  • Timely implementation of transformation/large projects/Business critical demands
  • Demand Pipeline Management – Drive internal stake holders with IT, technology, vendors to align to business priorities and deliver projects as per business objectives w.r.t scope and timeline.
  • Responsible to customer service  business for IT deliverables for Prepaid, Postpaid , Quality , Training and Call Centre functions  on agreed projects
  • Status reporting on Demands and projects to key stakeholders

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

  • Planning & Budgeting for strategic programs & new business demands   

IT roadmap and budget estimation for Customer Service  functions for Prepaid, Postpaid , Quality , Training and Call Centre  for strategic programs/new initiatives to capture scope, budget quotations from partners, business case preparation & approvals from Finance & IT


  • IT demand review & assessment:

Understand business demand/requirement, validate for completeness, and assess business value delivered by the demand by checking the alignment with the overall IT roadmap for the business function. Approve demand for detailed analysis, reject or resend the demand to requestor for more details, if required. Transition of signed off business requirements to working instructions for E2E solution Design & Delivery Team


  • Proactive value propositions basis business function roadmap:

Propose solution offerings basis understanding of business roadmap of business functions and interaction with product vendors and system integrators to Manage & ensure fulfilment of business expectations


  • Architect the project Go Live :

Work with the Customer Service functions of Prepaid, Postpaid , Quality , Training and Call Centre business teams including the Product Owner/requirement owner and all relevant stakeholders across business teams to ensure timely inputs in terms of requirements, NFR’s, UAT requirements. Synchronise and integrate stakeholders across IT teams including BA’s, Development team, Operations team, IT Security, Infra teams to ensure that the whole IT team comes together to meet the business requirement Ensuring quality services are delivered with regard to the agreed timelines and cost. Co-ordinating with cross functional teams to ensure privacy and security approvals in place and alignment with Technology Network and business partners as per scope defined


Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

  • Have strong experience (15 years) in Telecom Industry/ relevant industry across various roles  and across various platforms
  • In depth domain knowledge of Customer Service domain  & business processes
  • Exposure to Design, solution and technical architecture.
  • Understanding of standards, E2E business processes and IT mapping of the same across BSS, OSS.
  • Collaboration skills  to maintain relationships  with various stake holders both within IT and external to IT

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • University Degree

Exceptional written and Oral communication skills
