Job Purpose

Operation and maintenance for Transport Optical network uptime and service quality.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Maintain Network Up time & Link Uptime - 99.99%
• Transmission KPI monitoring & relevant actions with other stake holders
• Ensure proactive solution implementation with coordination with all stake holders to avoid network outages (P1 to P5)
• Carrying out daily TX field observation in co-ordination with all stake holders.
• Network fault analysis & escalations to take solution from OEM
• Publishing Network elements health check up to respective stake holders.
• MS governance based on SLA
• Co-ordination with commercial, finance & OEM's for PR/PO, invoice & ensure payment

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• 8-12 years of experience in telecom industry and minimum 4-5 years of experience Transmission Ops.
• Knowledge of TX technologies – SDH, MW, Optical, DWDM, IP
• Hands on working knowledge on below OEM's:
• Huawei RTN, OSN, ECI BG,XDM,NPT, DWDM Technologies, Nokia / Ericsson / Huawei MW,
• Team management, communication & presentation skills and data and inventory management.
• Should have experience to handle team in field challenges.
• Knowledge of IP, Router, switch and IP protocols would be plus point

Must have technical / professional qualifications
