Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to handle field operations activities related to Data Core elements & it services at Circle level including Cloud & IP infrastructure, also support new/expansion related Project activities. This Role will interfacing with Circle and Corporate teams  like Marketing, Customer Service, RA, UAT, Nodal, Security, Central Operations, Central Planning, Central Project and NOC teams etc.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

  • On time field support to Central Operations team, SNOC and Project Team in terms of testing, fault troubleshooting, planned events & new node implementation
  • Preventive & corrective event based maintenance
  • Internal and External Audit support including TERM Cell  & Security audit/compliance
  • Customer complaint analysis & resolution by co-ordinating with respective teams
  • Ensure quality of implementation for any new project as per VIL Data Centre norms
  • Ensuring Service uptime >=99.5%
  • Ensure Capacity Utilization of resource & interface utilization of respective nodes  below 70% & take necessary action in case of deviation
  • Ensure to meet/maintain performance KPI as per benchmarking provided by central guidelines/targets.
  • New node integration,  acceptance testing & handover from project to operations
  • Inventory, Spares & Backup management
  • Ensure timely issue of PR/PO for AMC/MS contracts with respective vendors  

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

  • Good Knowledge of Packet Core & WiFi operations including protocol & call flows.
  • Good  understanding of Hardware management and Networking
  • Experience on cloud infrastructure and related technologies will be added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, inter-personal & managerial skills
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Risk assessment ability

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • Preferred qualification in B.E/B.Tech(Electronic & Communication). CCNA/CCNP & Knowledge in Cloud Technology or Cloud related certification would be added advantage.
  • Should have 10+ years of experience overall in telecom Domain. Experience on managing operations team and sound experience of implementing projects

Job Purpose

To manage the Core ( CS Voice Core incl IMS ) operations and rollout at circle level. This role includes managing NLD nodes, 3rd party VAS nodes { IVR, OBD, IBD, and Hub nodes like DND} and enterprise support like Prutech – Flipkart, IOCL, Could telephony service, S2C hardware support operational activities. to support SNOC and COG, Support to RA & Business to deliver so superior quality services at the circle.

 

*Network Element Types involved (as per deployment, circle specific).

CS Core : MSS, GCS, MGW, GMGW, SPS, STP, HLR,ONE NDS, ( Nokia {MSS, GCS, HLR} , ZTE{MSS, GCS, HLR} and Huawei {GCS and  SPS}  Nodes).

VoLTE : Huawei  and Nokia IMS ( incl SBC, CFX, TAS, IBCF and BGCF)

3rd Party Servers: S2C hardware, DND comviva hardware,

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

  1. FIELD SUPPORT: Field support for issues resolution. Support to SNOC during incident resolution, upgrades and planned events. Report failures and drive to resolution. Service usage tracking, KPI analysis and improvement. Pro-active failure analysis. Offline backup support. MIS & Reporting. Support SNOC integration & Network Consolidation. Process adherence as directed by COG and SNOC. Support for internal & external audit activities.
  2. CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Enrich customer CS core services by meticulous Customer complaints analysis and resolution. Revenue share services issues resolution in coordination with marketing, IT, RA and SNOC. Roaming IR testing. Drive to maintain NIL revenue leakages in circle.
  3. PROJECT SUPPORT: Support new node integration rollouts. CS core Infrastructure management and hygiene. Support field trials and POCs.
  4. SECURITY MANAGEMENT: Support Nodal teams during TERM cell audits. Regulatory compliance adherence. Ensure MBSS security compliance of new nodes hosted in circle. LBS Accuracy test co-ordination.

The Key KPI indicators are as below:-

  1. Service uptime from filed perspective >=99.9%
  2. Service usage below threshold <70% (Capacity, Link utilizations)
  3. Backup / DR availability  >99.9% , Redundancy loss incidences <=1
  4. Core BHCA / sub < 2, ASR > 45%, PSR > 94%, Alarm /node <10, maintaining 0 hardware fault more than 48 hours and customer complaint closure with in TAT

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

  1. Should have at least 3+ years of experience overall in telecom domain with CS Core operation knowledge, preferable with Nokia and ZTE nodes.
  2. Hands on experience in handling Nokia MSS, GCS, MGW, GMGW nodes and having experience in Cell ID Audit, routing audit of codes and GT. Knowledge on Cisco, ZTE , Nokia and Alcatel routers and switched from MPBN or IPRAN will be preferred
  3. Experience in managing NLD, STP and bsnl coordination for resolution on faults
  4. Knowledge of TCP/IP, Diameter, CAMEL, MAP SS7, SCTP, M3UA, SIP, and MAP protocols and signalling call service flows.
  5. Experience in CS core Hardware management and Networking
  6. Excellent communication, inter-personal & managerial skills, strong customer focus & seamless approach.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

BE (E&C, Computers). Knowledge of scripting, Java and others will be an added advantage.
